CloneDVD from Slysoft has been around for a long time as established it's name as a leader in the dvd copy field. CloneDVD is easy to use and when coupled with Slysoft's AnyDVD ( dvd decrypter ), it allows you to copy virtually any DVD or movie that
you have stored on your hard drive to DVD... even encrypted DVDs. Advanced features allow you to only the movie excluding previews and such, or you can choose to copy the entire DVD with special features, menus, subtitles and all.
Ease of use:
CloneDVD is not just a one click and copy software, however, it is not hard to use after you initially set it up and use it a couple of times. CloneDVD provides what they call their "intuitive Filmstrip assistant" which guides you through all the available configuration settings, allowing you to choose which chapters to include and offering the option to trim individual chapters.
Quality:
CloneDVD provides excellent quality... a perfect clone of the original.
Support:
Support from this company is very good. Another thing that is very nice is they update their software very frequently, sometimes monthly, therefore keeping them on top of the latest advancedments in dvd copying.
Copying Encrypted DVDs:
 CloneDVD will copy any DVD on the market because of the use of "AnyDVD" which comes bundled with their software. CloneDVD does come as a standalone package but without their AnyDVD decrypter copying encrypted dvds is impossible.
AnyDVD works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into the drive, allowing CloneDVD to backup the desired DVD. You can also remove the RPC region code, thereby making the movie region free and viewable on any DVD player and with any DVD player software.
Overview:
There are two CloneDVD products on the market, but SlySoft CloneDVD is the original. It was one of the first true dvd copy software products which came on the market a few years ago. Because SlySoft continually updates all of their products ( all updates are free ) their software are quality products.
CloneDVD from SlySoft is a great product. Experienced users especially like the product because of the advanced features and settings. For beginners their "Filmstrip assistant guide" walks you through the setup process making it pretty easy and after initial setup
CloneDVD automatically remembers the last settings that were used and uses those settings in future sessions.
